About the Villa
At Giovanta Villa, hospitality runs deep in our family roots. Inspired by our parents’ legacy and their profound love for Crete, we set out to create a place where guests could truly feel at home — and experience the authentic warmth of Cretan life.
Our villa is named in honor of our mother, Giovanta, who dedicated her life to family and community. Through this space, we wanted to share not only the beauty of our land but also the simple joys and traditions that make Crete so special.

OUTDOORS
Giovanta Villa is set in a lush green area near Kontomari in Kissamos, Chania, just about one kilometer from the historic village of Maleme and three kilometers from the lively resort of Platanias.
Built with stone, iron, and wood, the villa beautifully blends traditional Cretan architecture with modern comforts, inside and out. This attention to detail creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every stay truly memorable.
The villa covers 200 sq.m. within a 950 sq.m. private plot, spread over two floors. Outside, you’ll find a large private swimming pool with a saltwater system, a smaller children’s pool, a barbecue, a wood-fired oven, garden furniture, and sun loungers arranged around the pool, perfect for relaxing under the Cretan sun.
FIRST & SECOND FLOOR
On the first floor, there’s a welcoming sitting room with a fireplace, a spacious dining area, a fully equipped traditional kitchen, a double bedroom, and a bathroom.
An indoor staircase leads up to the second floor, where you’ll find a bedroom with a private bathroom and hydromassage system, a second double bedroom with its own bathroom complete with a bathtub, and a single bedroom.
GROUND FLOOR
The ground floor hosts an independent 50 sq.m. apartment, ideal for families or guests who value extra privacy. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy sitting room with two sofas and a single bed, a bedroom with a double bed, and a modern bathroom.
